The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) was founded to protect the interests of professional public employees, by building a community to act collectively to improve our members’ lives.
Created in 1920, we have become the largest union in Canada representing scientists and professionals employed at the federal and some provincial and territorial levels of government.
The Institute is the bargaining agent for more than 41 knowledge-based Groups and negotiates with 27 different employers in seven different jurisdictions.
Helped by approximately 200 full-time staff in its National Office and Regional Offices, it is lead by an elected Board of Directors composed of 1 President, 4 Vice-Presidents and 10 directors.
Stephane Aubry is running in this election to be the next national President.
